Work with me
Experience-led running gear reviews, training tips, and thoughtful blogs for runners who like to ask why.
Alastair Running (alastairrunning.com) is for runners who want practical help and honest gear opinions from someone who actually runs a lot, and who'd rather be treated like a training partner than an "audience".

If you're a running brand (shoes, socks, watches, apparel, nutrition, recovery, training tools) and you want to reach runners who care about what works and what's worth the money, let's talk.

The Alastair Running audience
Runners who want trustworthy gear guidance and training clarity, delivered in a personal, experience-led voice that respects their time and money. High quality long form content is core to this.
They run 2 to 6+ days a week and want to improve without burning out. They like simple frameworks: what to do this week, why it matters, and how to adjust when life gets messy.
They're curious about running shoes and gear, but they don't want to waste money choosing the wrong products. They care about the details that matter: durability, stability, sizing, comfort over time, what paces it suits, and what it doesn't do well.
Most of them arrive from a search, mid-decision, already working out what to buy next.
Ways we can work together
What each option involves, and what it costs, is in the media kit. Here's how to work out which one you want.
Expedited review. For launches with a date attached, and brands who want one product covered properly rather than mentioned in five places.
Brand or product feature. For launches, new to market brands, product explainers, and "who it's for, who it isn't" style overviews.
Sponsored article. For nutrition, recovery tools, training platforms, apparel basics, watches and tech. Anything that naturally belongs next to how-to content.
YouTube placement. For awareness and direct response campaigns, especially when you've got a simple offer.
Sitewide ad placement. For highly relevant brands who can offer my audience a discount worth clicking for.
Review whitelisting. For brands already running paid social who want a credible third party page to send that traffic to.
Newsletter placement. For campaigns that need a push on a specific day.
Short form video partnerships. For products that recur naturally in my content, or for a single launch you want to land properly. Rates are in the Creator Partnerships kit.
Not sure which fits? Email me what you're promoting and I'll tell you honestly what I'd suggest, including if the answer is nothing right now.
How the collaboration process works
- Quick fit check. Email me what you're promoting, your goal, and your timing. We can discuss custom packages and cross promotion across articles and platforms (trailandkale.com) with discounts.
- Angle and outline. I'll propose the approach before I create anything.
- Create and fact check. You can verify details for accuracy.
- Publish and share. We can then discuss follow ups, whitelisting, or an ongoing retainer if it performs.
A note on integrity
My audience trusts this platform because I keep it real. Sponsored work is always disclosed, and I don't write performance claims I can't stand behind.
The goal is content that helps runners make a better buying decision. That's what makes partnerships work long term.
