The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 keeps the long-standing “Go-To Support” promise alive, refining the formula with a slightly softer heel and a touch more cushioning underfoot.
For over 25 years, the Adrenaline has been Brooks’ most trusted stability trainer, and version 25 continues that legacy: dependable, protective, and built for runners who overpronate or simply prefer a guided, secure stride.
That said, while it gains plushness and a lower drop, it also loses a bit of the refined, balanced feel that made the Adrenaline GTS 24 such a well-tuned daily trainer for those who preferred a little more pep in their step.

Sizing and fit

The Adrenaline GTS 25 fits true to size with a roomier toe box and slightly looser midfoot than the previous version.
The extra width makes it great for runners with wide or high-volume feet, while those with narrower feet may notice a touch of sloppiness through the midfoot.
The heel lock is excellent thanks to the padded collar and tongue, offering a snug, secure hold.
Comfort is immediately noticeable when you step in, though the added foam, tighter weave mesh, and collar cushioning make it feel a bit heavier and warmer on the run compared to version 24.

The tongue still has those anchors to hold it in place when you run, which is one of the neat features I liked in the previous version.

Performance review
On the run, the GTS 25 delivers exactly what you’d expect from the Adrenaline line; a steady, supportive, and predictable ride designed to keep your stride aligned without feeling forced.
The GuideRails™ system continues to do its job quietly, adding stability through the medial side and heel without intruding on natural motion.

The extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot does make landings softer, especially for heel or midfoot strikers, and transitions feel smoother through the gait cycle providing a better balance across the full length of the shoe.
The trade-off is that the shoe feels slightly less snappy and less responsive than the GTS 24, which had a firmer midfoot, more secure midfoot, and better energy transfer at toe-off.

The DNA Loft v3 midsole still balances cushioning and firmness well, it’s not marshmallow soft, and it doesn’t bottom out, even over long distances.
It’s a reliable midsole for recovery runs, steady-paced training, and even all-day wear as a lifestyle/walking shoe.
However, runners who enjoyed the more tuned ride of the GTS 24 may find this version just a bit muted.
Breathability and heat management have taken a minor step back.

The engineered mesh upper feels premium and supportive but holds more warmth, particularly when combined with the added interior padding, and a wider forefoot that allows for more friction and heat buildup.
It’s fine for cooler weather but might feel hot on summer runs (luckily we are heading into winter, right now).
Stability remains the star of the show, as one would hope so.

The shoe continues to guide your gait, gently into proper alignment, making it ideal for those who overpronate or spend long hours on their feet.
The wider base, paired with the revised outsole pattern, provides consistent traction and durability across roads and light gravel.
The outsole barely shows wear even after many miles.

The ride is firm-to-neutral overall, not energetic, but reassuring.
For runners chasing pure comfort and reliability over liveliness, the GTS 25 still checks every box. It’s a daily trainer that disappears underfoot in the best possible way.

My verdict

At $155, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 is a dependable daily stability trainer that stays true to its heritage, just a little bulkier (even though it's 0.1oz lighter on paper), softer, and warmer than before.
It shines for runners who value structure, protection, and comfort over bounce or agility, and it remains one of the most accessible and trustworthy stability daily trainers for both running and walking.
However, if you already own the Adrenaline GTS 24 (currently $120 at Brooksrunning.com, while stocks last), there’s little reason to rush out and replace it.
If your GTS 24s are worn out, they're no longer for sale, or you need a bit more heel softness, the GTS 25 is still a solid buy at $155, and a safe choice for everyday miles and dependable stability, mile after mile.
